Day 10: Travel home

Today will be spent just getting home. We're leaving the Youth Hostel around 9am to catch a tram into the Hauptbanhof, then a train to the airport.

Original itinerary

Bob and I travel out by 9.30 and eventually find the Easyjet check-in desk in the quiet calm that is Zurich Airport. Our boarding numbers are in single figures, so we're among the first. There's plenty of time to explore the duty-free and other shops, then settle down to watch some TV before the flight is called.

We land into the complete chaos of Luton Airport .. how can two airports be so completely different? Recovering the baggage seems to take as long as the flight, but we eventually settle down again to a coffee and a sandwich to await the Glasgow check-in.

Almost first in the queue again .. and a seat at the front to let me stretch out. Flight lands on time at Glasgow, and everyone disperses to cars, buses and taxis to head for home. Another trip done! Where will we be going next time??
